This post is such a nonsense like to decide between a banana and a kiwi — kiwi for men, banana for women. Men can wear dresses, skirts and heels if they want, women can work as engineers and builders, it's not 18th century anymore. What's the sense of this post?
ReplyDeleteThere are so called 'drag queens' — men who dress up as women and perform on the stage. They don't have a concept of 'real men' or 'real women' — they just do what they want btw. In South Korea there is a performer whose name is Jo Kwon. For him being some kind of drag queen (light version of drag queen, just a man who performs on the stage without giving his life to this profession of a drag queen) in South Korea is a feat — koreans are really conservative, but in case of Jo Kwon they splitted into two groups. One group thinks its inappropriate for man to do this kind of stuff, the other group thinks it's a good think to make koreans a more progressive nation. I think that kind of stuff that Jo Kwon does is really good for them — he is a great performer and it's just an 'image', but this image can do a really big thing.
For me there is no such a concept of men things and women things. Boys like dress up like girls (Min Yoongi, Patrick Starr, Jayy von Monroe, Jeffree Star, all Topp Dogg and iKON members), girls like 'tomboy' style (Amber Liu, TWICE Jungyeon), some boys just remind us of girls (SEVENTEEN Jeonghan, No Minwoo, Topp Dogg A-Tom).
There aren't any borders, those borders are only in our minds and heads, those terrible borders about gender. What the hell your biological sex means? Nothing. Only your inner gender makes some sense.

To answer your question about the sense of the post, I can say it aims to make you share ideas on stereotypes of a real man and a real woman our society still has. For example, one of my acquatances thinks that a real woman should wear dresses and high-heeled shoes where as I prefer jeans and comfortable shoes. Everybody has the right to have their own opinion and we should respect it until it hurts someone. Another reason for this post to encourage you to practise your listening skills and learn new words related to our topic. So, try to watch the videos and choose the qualities which you find a person should have, in your view.
DeleteTalking about a real man all of us can say, that a real man must be courageous, brave, purposeful and honest. Another great characteristic is - no moaning. None of girls want to live with such a man, because moaning is the destiny of a looser, I think. To face with difficulties and to overcome them, men need to be stong as a mountain. A real man will take risks in advance. He predicts them. To be a real man for me means to help everyone who can't care about himself, who needs his help and attention, you can always rely on such a man. This is my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe woman from the video said that a real woman for her is resilient, who never gives up, exceptional, authentic and leading edge. But for me everything is quite simplier. A real woman loves her children very much, devoting herself totally. She doesn't forget to pay attention to all members of her family. The relations with her husband are very loving, tender and warm. Moreover she always looks gorgeous. And cooks a healthy and delicious food. This is what I think of a real woman.
As for me a real man firstly must be firm because every man has a lot of thinks that irritate him but a real man can solve his problem in his brain and he can't show others how he is feeling himself now that's why a real man must be firm

Actually, I agree with this man who said that a real man shouldn't moaning and complaining. Because women don't like men who are whining like a child. But I disagree that a real man is tough. In my opinion men can have a sweet disposition. I agree that real men are decisive and self-reliant, they have to make decisions in different situations. I agree with a woman, because she said that a real woman can do what she wants and she don't need someone's permission. I agree that woman should be resilient and exceptional.

ReplyDeleteAt first I'd like to say that I agree with few things that man in the video said, but in general everything he said is just silly conservative stereotypes. I actually hate stereotypes, because they make many people not to think about others, but to judge them if they don't follow stereotypes. So, I can't say for sure whom real man must be like, but may be in my opinion real man is someone who is enough flexible to adapt on as many life situations as possible, may be it's also someone who is strong morally and honest with himself, who gives himself a clear account of what is happening around.

DeleteFirst of all I agree with points of this persons from the videos. In my opinion real man must always tell the truth so if he will invent all sorts of stories, then those who listen to him may have doubts and when the deception will be revealed, then man's family and friends will not trust him increasingly. A real man should be responsible. He should answer for his words. Furthermore a real man should be kind, should protect and care for his love ( also he can give some presents for her). In addition a real man should cook well, exercise, do not drink (only on holidays), do not smoke and do not use drugs.. He must help his children with difficulties, with studies (if he has children of course). He should not be hypocritical and beat women. A man must be adequate and not aggressive. A real man must remain himself, be a human. If we talk about women first of all they should be single-minded and have a wide range of interests. As already said a real woman should be soft, calm, she should love doing housework (to vacuum, to wash the dishes and etc.) and most of all cooking well so that all family members felt happy and full of beans.
ReplyDeleteIt's good you brought up such a question as violence in a family. Unfortunately, there are men who are able to raise their hand against a woman. I think they demonstrate their weakness, not strenth in this way.
DeleteI agree with all points, which were mentioned in both videos. I just want to add that for real man of course is important not to moan, but to be able to talk about his feelings, not to just keep them inside of his mind. Also I think that real man has to be able to stay calm in any situation, not to be aggressive doesn't matter what is happening around him. And I really liked the point about the fact that real man loves his family and respects people, that are around him, because it is very important and nowadays a lot of young guys are forgetting about that.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with all points about real woman. It is very important for women to remember that they can play their own game with their own rules doesn't matter what exactly we mean. I think that woman can be attractive for man only when she loves and respects herself. So I honestly don't understand men, who think woman should only be good at cooking, raising children and doing housework, because in my opinion the more woman is independent the more she is attractive.

DeleteAs for me this characteristics are primitive, because they are too idealistic.Everyone have their disadvantages, and to find a man such describing in the video is very hard.
ReplyDeleteAlso, any woman have such qualities as resistance, beautiful, genuine, purposeful and kind. This is necessary in order to be successful in the world.To some extent to be a leader, but to enable the man to give him the championship.Every woman want to feel protected and to be safe and that gives the man.
We don't need a framework for determining personality in real life to be excellent.Because it inhibits the sense of individual freedom.
I absolutely agree with Ira. Any qualities can be inherent in every person.
ReplyDeleteIf you take a man then I think that too many characteristics for him. What we saw in the video about a man probably doesn't seem to be about a real man. It's more like about a real man-warrior.
But if you take a woman I generally agree with the video. I just could add to consideration such qualities as womanhood and hardworking.
I'm disagree with this points from the video, I think it's doesn't mean that you are not a real man if you don't have some characteristics from the video.

I agree with the most things from the first video about real man but i can't agree with the 1 point that means "The Man World - is the most important and everybody should do how he wants".I think it's not 100 % true cause everybody in the family for example should have his own opinion.I'am not a woman and i can't discuss a real woman cause woman's mind - it's something unpredictable.
