Are good manners important? Why / Why not? Do Belarusians follow the rules of politeness? Give examples. Do you think our nation should be more polite or good manners are the remnant of the past?
Certainly good manners are important for any person. In general, they reveal the person, its upbringing and education. Also good manners can promote good communication. Therefore now it's very difficult for a person to live and contact in society without politeness and good manners. Most Belarusians follow the rules of politeness. For example, adults are inferior to the elderly, women and children places in public places or students always tell the teachers "Hello" and "Goodbye". But we, like other countries, have people who do not follow these rules.
Unfortunately, students don't always say hello to teachers. I often have to stand greet students at the entrance in the morning and only about 10% say hello. Is it ok? Or does it show our uncivilization?
