Shakespeare competition

To mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death in 2016, we’re on a global quest to discover a new generation of creative talent! In this year’s competition, we’re inviting non-native students of English from across the world to show off their writing and / or artistic skills.
Choose one of the plays from this list and re-write a scene, event or the plot in the style of a modern-day magazine or news article. Hamlet, Macbeth, The Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello, Romeo and Juliet.Entries should be between 500 – 1000 words
